Matty's Last Powerslide
2006 (23.10.06)
Matty completed his last
Powerslide school of the year in impressive style looking better and
better as the day went on. The track was quite wet but Matty started
well and finished off the day in style looking quicker and quicker
under the expert guidance of Kings Lynn captain Tomas Topinka. Matty
commented:
"I was pleased to be getting
help from Tomas and felt I improved a fair bit with his help. This
has been by far the best school I have done so far and I feel Tomas
helped me in may ways. "
Over the next few months Matty
will be at Scunthorpe, Oxford, Reading and Sittingbourne as he gears
up for 2007.

Matty's Looking at JAWA
Power (20.10.06)
Matty has progressed well since he
started doing speedway back in August 2006. He has used an ex- Chris
Louis frame, fitted with a Honda 125 engine. Both Matty and Team
Allitt Racing feel that he can progress very little further with
this small powered engine. Matty has set his eyes now on a JAWA 250.
Matty said "I am
looking forward to getting this new piece of machinery. With my
current bike only being a 125cc, when going round tracks like Kings
Lynn, we have to put it in 5th gear so I am not revving out half way
down the straight. Of course this then means when I go round the
bend, their isn't enough power to spin the wheel. On several
occasions the wheel has spun and the back end has slid out but with
there not being enough power it would either put me onto the centre
green, or pick up grip and flip me off. " |

Matty
Arrives On Track (25.8.06)
After twice being called off, Matty
Allitt finally got on track under the guidance of Kevin Doolan, John
Oliver and James Brundle at the Norfolk Arena. Matt said:
"I truly had a great day, even after I visited the Paramedic. I felt the
bikes were slow compared to mine, so will be a big shock when I sit on
it again. I felt comfortable on the bike and got quicker as every lap
went by". |
