New Bike Ready To Go (28.11.06)
Matty today got the chance to ride his new bike, all be it not in anger. The new Bike which has been fitted with a Jawa 250 (see picture) is the next step on the learning curve for Matty in his quest to be a speedway rider.

Over the coming winter months most weekends will be spent at various training tracks ready for the 2007 season where he will undertake the mascot duties at the Kings Lynn Money Centre Stars.

The next training event weather permitting will be this coming Saturday at Scunthorpe.

New Bike Arrives (7.11.06)
Matty took delivery of his new bike today as his Niels Kristian Iversen bike was picked up. The chassis will be fitted with a new Jawa 250 in the next couple of weeks as Matty looks to move to the next level in the speedway ladder. Matty said:
"This Bike looks superb and has all the right bits on for me to progress, I can't wait until I can get on it at Scunthorpe in a couple of weeks to see how I get on."

A picture of the new bike is shown below:

Matty's Last Powerslide 2006 (23.10.06)
Matty completed his last Powerslide school of the year in impressive style looking better and better as the day went on. The track was quite wet but Matty started well and finished off the day in style looking quicker and quicker under the expert guidance of Kings Lynn captain Tomas Topinka. Matty commented:
"I was pleased to be getting help from Tomas and felt I improved a fair bit with his help. This has been by far the best school I have done so far and I feel Tomas helped me in may ways. "

Over the next few months Matty will be at Scunthorpe, Oxford, Reading and Sittingbourne as he gears up for 2007.

Matty's Looking at JAWA Power (20.10.06)
Matty has progressed well since he started doing speedway back in August 2006. He has used an ex- Chris Louis frame, fitted with a Honda 125 engine. Both Matty and Team Allitt Racing feel that he can progress very little further with this small powered engine. Matty has set his eyes now on a JAWA 250.

Matty said "I am looking forward to getting this new piece of machinery. With my current bike only being a 125cc, when going round tracks like Kings Lynn, we have to put it in 5th gear so I am not revving out half way down the straight. Of course this then means when I go round the bend, their isn't enough power to spin the wheel. On several occasions the wheel has spun and the back end has slid out but with there not being enough power it would either put me onto the centre green, or pick up grip and flip me off. "

Matty gets Nygren Expertise (16.10.06)

Matty went to the Norfolk Arena on Friday 13th and Saturday 14th of October taking part in the Olle Nygren “Art of Sliding” Skid School.

Olle Nygren, an ex-World Speedway legend runs this event once a year attracting over 20 amateur and semi professional riders. This years event saw the likes of Conference League reserves Ben Johnson and Tim Webster take part.

Matty said “It was a great weekend getting some great help from fellow riders. It actually helps to watch other riders to see how they do it! I felt very quick and I was flat out down the straights helling into the bends”.

“Can I just thank my Dad for paying and taking me to this event and thank Stephen for taking time off college to help me throughout the day”!

Matty will take part in the final Skid School of the Speedway Season at the Norfolk Arena on Monday 23rd of October. He then will embark on trips to Scunthorpe and Sittingbourne throughout the winter with Boston Captain Simon Lambert to further his track skills and speedway ambitions. Details will follow...

Matty gets Forcefield Protection (3.9.06)

Forcefield Protection wear, a business that supplies protective wear of the highest quality to motor sports such as Speedway, Motocross and Super X, are now a supplier to the Official Kings Lynn ‘Money Centre’ stars mascot Matty Allitt.

“I got the jacket which is a small mans but will stretch as I grow. I got the shorts which are also a small mans. And I even got the Forcefield back protector which costs a bundle and is worn by Hans Andersen, Niels Kristian Iversen and Jesper B Jensen”.

Matty wore this new piece of protection during his Powerslide Skid School and said “First of all I would like to thank my Dad for buying me this top quality suit. I put it on as soon as I got it and it felt cool. I rode in it for the first time at the Norfolk Arena a couple of weeks ago and hardy noticed it was on me”.

Matty Arrives On Track (25.8.06)
After twice being called off, Matty Allitt finally got on track under the guidance of Kevin Doolan, John Oliver and James Brundle at the Norfolk Arena. Matt said:
"I truly had a great day, even after I visited the Paramedic. I felt the bikes were slow compared to mine, so will be a big shock when I sit on it again. I felt comfortable on the bike and got quicker as every lap went by".
